Your Next Level Awaits
300 Hr. Curriculum Deep Dive
Konalani's 300-hour certification is made up of five immersive 60-hour modules — each one a focused exploration of a different dimension of masterful teaching, from creative sequencing and nervous system regulation to functional anatomy, intuitive movement, and holistic integration. Taken together they offer a complete path toward mastery, blending modern movement science with timeless yogic wisdom. Three modules are offered live online and two in person at the ashram in Hawaiʻi each year — mix and match formats, take them all in a single year, or spread them out at your own pace and in any order. Below is a closer look at what each training covers.

SHAKTI Training· July 28-Aug. 5, 2026
60 Hr. Module • Vinyasa Flow Creative Sequencing Retreat
Dance of Shakti unlocks your intuitive sequencing voice by cultivating spacious awareness, internal sensation, and creative flow—so you can teach from the heart, move from within, and access truly creative energy.
-
SHAKTI helps you move from sensation, not choreography—so you can create vinyasa classes that feel alive, intuitive, and deeply embodied. You’ll learn to sequence by feeling into fascia, breath, and rhythm, rather than building from rigid shapes. As you slow down and listen inside, transitions become moments of revelation, and creativity flows without force.
-
SHAKTI includes over 50 movement-based practices that help you discover new pathways through your own body. You’ll explore:
– Intero-surfing drills across different tissues and planes of motion
– Unmesha-inspired transitions, rising from stillness into form
– Slow layering techniques that build intuitive sequencing step-by-step
– Weight shifting, spiraling, and fascia-based rolling to awaken fluidity
– Creative repetition and resolution that train you to feel completion
– Voice-based cueing to align language, awareness, and movement
-
SHAKTI invites you to access creativity from the inside out. You’ll explore the Durga mantra to access the fearlessness required for real self expression. You will learn how to tap into the energy of a transition, and trace a sequence as it rises from stillness. Feel Unmehsa, the spark of Movement Flow that helps you feel what’s happening as it happens—and create from presence rather than planning. Transform with Matrika Shakti, the power of sound and language to shape experience, using your voice and cues as tools of both teaching and transformation.
Shakti Yoga Training Workshops
Roots Training • Dec. 1-9, 2026
60 Hr. Module • Grounding & Lower Body Integration Training
ROOTS empowers you to rebuild from the ground up—awakening your arches, stabilizing your hips, and unlocking the movement potential hidden in your foundation—so you feel grounded in both body and being.
-
Your feet are the foundation of everything. When they’re strong and sensitive, the whole body realigns—from the hips to the breath to the mind. In this training, you’ll rebuild lower body strength and stability by reawakening the feet, glutes, and deep core. Learn to relieve hip and knee strain, reconnect to your natural gait, and experience walking as a moving meditation that calms the nervous system and enlivens your practice.
This training supports you to:
– Rebuild strength and stability by integrating the feet, glutes, and breath
– Reduce hip and knee tension with efficient, fascia-aware movement
– Reclaim walking as a spiritual and nervous system practice
-
You’ll explore over 45 grounded movement practices that restore healthy patterns from the ground up. This includes:
– Foot mobilization and barefoot training for sensory awareness
– Gluteal activation for pelvic stability and core integration
– Hip and psoas release techniques to restore range and ease
– Walking drills that retrain alignment and core responsiveness
– Breath-led movement to stabilize the spine and awaken the backline
-
ROOTS expands the experience of meditation beyond the cushion—using grounded movement to unlock deeper stillness. You’ll explore walking meditation as a way to repattern sticky, samskaric movement habits while calming the nervous system and reconnecting with your breath. Through the lens of the superficial backline, you’ll discover how to rest the mind in the backdrop of awareness, both in motion and in stillness.
Rooted in the teachings of the Shiva Sutras, you’ll study and practice the Shambhavi Mudra as a way to stabilize your attention inside while living fully in the world. This training bridges Shiva and Shakti—movement and stillness—as equal forces in building a meditation practice that’s both functional and transformative.
Roots Yoga Training Workshops
RISE • Live-Online, Aug. 30, 2026-Nov. 15, 2026
60 Hr. Module • Shoulder Support & Upper Body Integration Training
RISE helps you transform tension into ease—reconnecting your hands, shoulders, and breath to your deep core so you move with grace, support, and strength.
-
Neck pain, shoulder tightness, and instability in upper-body postures are some of the most common challenges yogis face. RISE offers a grounded, intelligent approach—helping you reconnect your hands, shoulders, and spine to your deep core. Instead of isolating muscles or pushing through strain, you’ll learn to rise from within: supported, sensitive, and strong.
-
RISE includes over 40 targeted practices that rebuild functional strength and release chronic tension by reconnecting your upper body to your deep core. You’ll explore:
– Core-integrated strength drills like Invisible Plank and crawling progressions
– Scapular mobility, glide, and fascia-release techniques
– Felt-sense explorations for the sternum, collarbones, and shoulder joints
– Breath-guided sequences that soften tension and restore fluidity
– Joint prep for Down Dog, Chaturanga, and forearm balance
– Restorative transitions that hydrate fascia and awaken inner support
These practices help you move with more ease, more awareness, and more support—on the mat and in daily life.
-
RISE integrates yogic tools that help you turn every movement into a practice of presence and devotion. You’ll explore Dharanas that open your heart, mantra that connects you to the energetic qualities of Hanuman—embodying courage and devotion, and the hand-to-heart connection as part of a broader system of practices that build inner steadiness. Through breath, imagery, and subtle awareness, the upper body becomes more than structure—it becomes a gateway to depth, softness, and strength.
RESILIENCE
Pranayama & Restorative Nervous System Training
Resilience reframes your yoga practice as a daily act of nervous system healing. Learn to repattern breath, movement, and awareness to create a calm, strong, and sustainable inner foundation—on the mat, on the cushion, and in your life.
-
Resilience isn’t about avoiding stress—it’s about growing through it. This training combines ancient yogic practices with modern insights into nervous system function, helping you shift from depletion to renewal. Through diaphragmatic breathwork, intra-abdominal pressure, and subtle core awareness, you’ll rewire your internal response to challenge and cultivate deep steadiness.
This training supports you to:
– Use breath and movement to calm your system and reclaim energy
– Build subtle, functional strength from your center
– Experience your practice as regenerative, not depleting
-
This training includes over 40 restorative movement practices designed to reset the nervous system and reconnect movement to breath. You’ll explore:
– Supine and quadruped sequences for diaphragmatic breathing and spinal flow
– Spinal segmentation and fluid undulation
– Deep core toning through breath, pelvic floor, and lower abdominal connection
– Intra-abdominal pressure techniques to support spinal and postural alignment
– Releasing tension through restorative rolling, fascia-aware transitions, and supported inversions
-
Resilience draws on ancient and modern tools to help you reshape your inner landscape. You’ll explore the yogic pillars of transformation—Swadhyaya (self-inquiry), Tapasya (discipline), and Ishwara Pranidhana (surrender)—through daily journaling, breathwork, and meditation. Backward breathing methods, down-regulating pranayamas, and diaphragm-based awareness give you direct access to your nervous system. You’ll learn to melt old patterns instead of fight them, regulate your breath chemistry, and approach shavasana as a deep, transformative meditation practice. This is where the science of pulmonology meets the subtle wisdom of prana—awakening steadiness, clarity, and growth from within.

WISDOM
Fascial Lines & Holistic Movement Integration Training
Wisdom awakens the innate intelligence of your fascia, muscles, and mind through integrated, full-body movement. By training along the body’s major fascial lines, you’ll restore natural elasticity, coordination, and ease.
-
Wisdom helps you move beyond isolated muscle work by teaching you to coordinate movement across the body’s four major fascial lines—front, back, spiral, and lateral. You’ll awaken the natural elasticity of your body, repattern inefficient movement habits, and learn to hydrate your tissues from the inside out. This isn’t just movement—it’s unlocking your movement potential.
-
You’ll explore over 40 fascia-informed movement practices that awaken full-body coordination, balance, and flow. These include:
Spiraling transitions that activate diagonal strength and unlock fluidity
Breath-driven sequences that restore natural recoil and elasticity
Repatterning techniques for collapsed arches, locked knees, and spinal tension
Somatic explorations that rewire stuck movement habits into intuitive flow
Whether you’re walking, twisting, folding, or flowing, Wisdom helps you move from wholeness—not habit.
-
Wisdom explores movement as meditation—revealing how fascia, awareness, and energy are deeply connected. You’ll study how presence lives in the spiral, how to use movement as a form of witnessing, and how meditative depth increases when your body becomes a clear channel. Key themes include:
The fascia’s role in storing samskaras and how hydration supports emotional release
Dharanas on inner space, subtle sensing, and cellular awareness
Using movement as a bridge to the subtle body and the witnessing mind
Integrating somatic awareness with yogic philosophy to create a more expansive, grounded practice

Meet Your Teachers
Meet Acharya Satyam
Satyam Ehinger is the resident Acharya (Teacher) at Konalani Yoga Ashram and the lead author of Konalani’s 200-hour, 300-hour, and Meditation Level 1 & 2 Teacher Training Manuals. He has been living and serving in the ashram for 20 years and has guided over 85 Yoga Alliance-certified trainings.
After graduating with honors in philosophy from DePaul University, Satyam turned to yoga to help manage severe scoliosis, which he had struggled with since childhood. The transformation was immediate—both physically and spiritually—and set him on a lifelong path. After graduation, he moved into Shoshoni Yoga Retreat, Konalani’s sister ashram in Colorado, where he immersed himself in deep practice and selfless service. In 2008, he moved to Hawai‘i to help with Konalani and soon became the manager and resident teacher. In 2010, he was honored with the title of Acharya by his teacher, Sri Shambhavananda.
Today, Satyam co-manages the ashram with his wife Abhaya and serves as director of the ShambhavAnanda Yoga Philosophy Program. He pours his heart into every aspect of ashram life—from curriculum development to mango harvests—and feels deeply blessed to serve, swim, and raise a family on sacred Hawaiian land.
Meet Acharya Abhaya
Abhaya Ehinger is a resident Acharya (Teacher) at Konalani Yoga Ashram and lead faculty in the 200-hour, 300-hour, and Meditation Teacher Trainings. She has lived and served in the ashram for over 15 years and has guided more than 65 Yoga Alliance-certified trainings. A gifted teacher and curriculum developer, Abhaya has spent the past decade transforming Konalani’s yoga program—integrating natural, sustainable movement with practices that regulate the nervous system and expand our movement potential.
Abhaya discovered meditation in college, where she quickly became the student leader of the meditation program at Georgetown University. The spark was immediate and life-changing, leading her away from a high-powered career path and toward a life of deep practice. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in political science and moved into the Shoshoni Yoga Retreat shortly after. Within a year, she was already leading trainings—an unprecedented testament to her clarity and depth. In 2020, she was honored with the title of Acharya.
Today, Abhaya co-manages Konalani with her husband Satyam, bringing insight, lightness, and care to every part of the ashram. She loves distance ocean swimming, creative movement, and every moment with their daughter, Narayani.
