Lesson 2 • Mantra & The Mind
Today is a big day—you’re about to explore one of the most written-about topics in all of yoga: the mind.
The mind is a slippery slope; it’s easy to get caught up in trying to understand it intellectually. In the end, the most effective way to truly learn about the mind is through quieting it—through meditation.
Today, you’ll be introduced to the lineage practice of Shambhavananda Yoga Mantra Meditation, a living practice that has been passed down from teacher to student over the past four generations and 150 years of lineage masters. And now, it is being offered to you.
Before we jump into the practice of mantra meditation, we’ll begin with a short yoga session to prepare the body and mind for stillness.
Namaste!
Guided Mantar Practices
Below you’ll find a growing library of guided meditations using the mantra Om Namah Shivaya, the core lineage mantra of ShambhavAnanda Yoga. These practices are designed to support you again and again—whether you’re returning to deepen your connection or just beginning your exploration.
Rather than treat this as a one-time experience, we invite you to revisit this page whenever you feel called to sit. There’s no need to rush. Let it serve as a resource not just for a single day’s practice, but for many days, weeks, or even months of steady inner work.
Come back anytime. Let the mantra meet you where you are.
Let the repetition carry you deeper into stillness, into presence, into the heart.
