Here are some focal points for you the next week, with the overarching theme being inhaling to dissolve and exhaling to brighten at the heart- in poses, in meditation, and in Savasana. Notice how this helps you become aware of samskaras and release doership!
-Continue to focus on the diaphragm during pranayama, and asana.
-Notice the parallel of the tongue and pelvic floor as you work with the breath in poses
-Explore intra-abdominal coming into poses, holding poses, and when lifting and exerting in daily life. Remember- this isn’t about holding the breath, but rather using the inhale/ exhale/ core to breath effectively and continuously.
-Expand the practice to encompass the philosophical theme of the triple awareness. How does this change your experience of Asana? can you bridge it into your meditation practice and daily life?
The next time we meet, please be prepared to teach the following:
8 minutes exploring the deep front line (pelvic floor, diaphragm, tongue), triple awareness, and intra-abdominal pressure.
