Day 14 ∞ Community Living Guidelines
Today’s Lesson: Completion, Community, and Gratitude
You’ve come a long way.
Today marks the final lesson in this preparatory journey. Over the past two weeks, you’ve been introduced to the core practices of ShambhavAnanda Yoga—mantra, breath, heart-centered awareness, surrender, and more. You’ve begun to explore two foundational pranayama techniques, shared time with us on the mat, and received two powerful e-books that offer insight into our lineage and the path of becoming a student. We’ve covered a lot together, and we’re so grateful for the time and energy you’ve brought to each step.
What you’ve done up to this point is no small thing. The effort it takes to prepare inwardly for a journey like this is real—and rare. The ashram exists for those who are ready for that next step in themselves, for those who are sincerely seeking transformation and growth. So, thank you. Your dedication and openness are exactly what this space is made for, and we’re honored to be walking this path with you.
As we close, we’re including one more important resource: a document outlining our community living guidelines and the spirit of selfless service. Some of it may feel immediately relevant, and other parts might only fully resonate once you’re here—but we believe everyone should have the opportunity to understand the structure and spirit of ashram life. It’s not all about rules—but shared agreements like these help us live, work, and grow together harmoniously.
Community Living Guidelines – the shared values, practices, and respectful boundaries that help everyone feel safe and supported
Selfless Service Guidelines – ways to approach your seva (service) as a living part of your spiritual practice
Kitchen & Meal Guidelines – how we handle food preparation, cleanliness, and shared meals
Shrine Guidelines – how to participate in shrine life with clarity and reverence
Health Protocols – basic wellness agreements that help us all stay healthy
If and when your journey brings you to the ashram for a work-study opportunity, we’ll revisit these guidelines in more depth. For now, just take time to become familiar with them, knowing they support the kind of community where transformation can truly take root.
We’ll end our time together with a meditation on finding the heart—a chance to reflect on what this journey has offered and to open your heart to what lies ahead.
Enjoy this final practice. And thank you again—for showing up, for exploring, and for beginning this path with us.
