Packing List & Arriving
Packing & Arrival Information
Welcome! This page will help you prepare for your stay at Konalani Yoga Ashram. Please read through the packing suggestions and arrival instructions carefully so you can arrive feeling ready, comfortable, and supported.
Before You Book Your Flight
Before purchasing your tickets, please double-check your intended arrival date and time with us.
It’s always a good idea to confirm with Konalani first—sometimes we have events, transitions, or group shifts that affect arrival logistics. A quick check-in ensures a smooth landing and helps us welcome you properly.
What to Pack
To help you feel at ease in daily life and ashram practices, we recommend bringing the following:
Outdoor work clothes
Comfortable clothes that can get dirty—used during seva (selfless service) hours.
Meditation clothes
Modest, simple, and presentable. These don’t have to be fancy—just something that helps you feel calm, focused, and uplifted. (Think: what you’d wear to lunch with your grandma.)
Yoga clothes
Please keep your yoga attire modest and appropriate. We ask that participants avoid short shorts and crop top combos to help maintain the respectful, grounded energy of the ashram.
Layers for warmth
A hoodie or light jacket is great for cool mornings.
Swimwear
For ocean swims or break time relaxation.
Closed-toe shoes
Required for outdoor work.
Sandals or flip-flops
Great for walking around the ashram casually.
Sun protection
A hat and reef-safe sunscreen are helpful for outdoor activities.
Water bottle (essential!)
Please bring your own reusable water bottle. This is one of the most forgotten items—and one of the most important.
Personal health insurance
All participants are required to have their own health insurance. Please contact us if this is an issue.
Feel free to bring any additional personal items that support your practice and comfort—like a journal, a favorite book, or anything that helps you stay grounded.
Getting to the Ashram
Getting here is easy! We’re located just a couple of minutes off the main highway in Seaview Circle.
If you arrive during regular seva hours (between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 or 4:00 p.m.), we’ll do our best to pick you up from the airport.
If you arrive later in the evening, we may ask you to take a Lyft or Uber to the ashram, depending on our staffing availability. Thank you for your understanding.
A rideshare from the airport usually costs $30–$35, depending on time of day.
Just type “Konalani Yoga Ashram” into any map app. It will take you directly to our front gate.
Once your flight is booked, please let us know your arrival time so we can coordinate pickup or give you directions for self-arrival.
