Day 16 • Rudi & The Green Apple

Rudi & The Green Apple

A Story of Love & Transformation, by Co-Founder of Shambhavananda Yoga, Faith Stone

Today you’ll begin with 10 minutes of reading Rudi and the Green Apple, an incredibly special and personal story from Faith Stone, co-founder of ShambhavAnanda Yoga. The book traces her own spiritual path to meeting her teacher, Swami Rudrananda, and introduces many of his core teachings in a way that is vivid, heartfelt, and deeply relatable. It’s a joy to read and offers a meaningful glimpse into the deeper qualities of our tradition—through the eyes of someone who lived it firsthand.

After spending some time with the book, you’ll return to your cushion for a mantra japa meditation, followed by a short tension release practice. Adding just a few breaths of tension release at the end of your daily practice can be a powerful way to “clear the pipes” and stay energetically light and inward throughout your day.

Journey Question of the Day:

What were your first impressions of Rudy and the Green Apple?

Did you enjoy the beginning of the story?

Do you have any thoughts or reflections on your experience reading it so far?

We’d love to hear how it landed for you.
